:)

For any of you that might just wonder if I'm still alive...YES! I have not completely dropped off the face of the earth. I promise. My life is crazy busy, we'll just say that a couple weeks ago I was doing an assignment from 10 PM- 2 AM because that was the ONLY TIME I had...at all! It's like I'm a Sr. in college or something...

As an update on what I am doing in my life, here is the reader's digest version.
~I absolutely LOVE my roommates. I felt like we'd been together for a whole semester after just a week. No joke. It's amazing, and I'm so grateful.

I discovered my new talent in the above picture. I can totally move one eye to the side while one stays put! Awesome. ;)

This is our awesome tree that is directly outside my front door. I am not looking forward to winter for the very reason that I will lose my favorite pondering spot in the entire world.

Only 2 of them stayed from the summer, but I was super blessed over the summer as well to have amazing roommates! As much as I love going home for the summer...I had a BLAST! :)
My crazy summer roommates and I. :)

Dave and I at the Rodeo

I invited Dave to go with my home ward's four-wheeling campout. This was our sunrise ride! Loved it!

This is me and a few of my friends just getting ready to be blasted off on Wicked. One of my roommates just happened to be in line at the PERFECT SPOT to take this pic. I feel all sorts of happy about it. :)

I was blessed to go to yet another temple open house! The weather was amazing! I loved it even more the second time going through. It's sad not knowing when I'll be able to see the inside of a temple like that again. But, I can be patient, because I KNOW it's worth it.

So when you have a best friend who is an amazing gymnast...you tend to be strapped to a high bar. It is fantastic, and I love it. This was my first time trying it. I can actually get horizontal now. It doesn't sound all that impressive...but it's hard work!

Notice the look of determination on my face. Or maybe it's a pain grimace cause I had just finished over 100 attempts at the perfect cartwheel... we'll go with utter determination.

On a side note, the name of my major was changed this year from Physical Education: Pre-physical therapy emphasis, to Human Movement Science: Pre- Physical Therapy emphasis. Sounds more impressive, no? AND now maybe people won't assume I want to teach PE for my life's career...

Finally, I was a bridesmaid for my friend Trina. And this leads into the sequel to my Cody story that maybe some of you might have wanted to hear...if not, then just skip the next little bit. :)

Yes, I caught the bouquet. :)

Alright. Remember the whole countdown for the missionary thing? :) Cody got home May 6th. On the 7th, we hung out all day. And it just went up from there. We were officially together about a week and a half after he got home. All went extremely well for a little while. Here are a couple pictures from our happy days. :)

It was amazing. We had a lot of fun, and I learned a whole lot. Also, a fun fact: his roommate/old companion/ MY old next door neighbor Adam fell in love with Cody's younger sister Trina, and the two were married in August. Hence me being a bridesmaid.
About the end of June, he decided that he hadn't been ready for a serious relationship, and so we broke up. I tried for a month to be just friends, but I was making all the effort, and finally decided that it was his turn to work for me if he really wanted me in his life...and we haven't really talked since. His loss if you ask me. To make things a little funnier, I do stuff with his family all the time still. Now I just need to work on getting over the little heartaches that come when I see other couples, and all the stuff that reminds me of him. It's been almost 3 months. I'm hoping it'll get easier with time.
In the meantime, I am so super busy with school it's ridiculous! I am the Pre-Physical Therapy president this year. I am also 1st counselor in my IWA (institute women's association)chapter. It may not seem like much...but it is. And I honestly don't know where the rest of my time goes, it just seems like I wake up, blink and then it's time to go back to bed. Somehow I will manage, but in the meantime...blogs will be sparse I believe. However, I do find time to check up on all of YOUR blogs. :) Keep up the awesome work! Finally, I will leave you with the most awesome picture of my bridesmaid shoes. (Nevermind that it was taken in a bathroom.) :) I love them. The end.

If you haven't noticed....

....just thought I'd point out the countdown clock to the right. -------> Yeah...that's correct. He's home. And I couldn't be happier. Let's just say that Thursday was one amazing day! Here is the reader's digest version of the day.
The entire day was with Cody, he woke me up by calling in the morning, then when he got to Logan, we talked, went for a walk, went to Panda Express for lunch, went miniature golfing. Ooo, that one is a good story. I got a hole-in-one, and on the next hole he's like, "let's see you do it again"....so I did!!! 2 in a row! Also, when we added up the scores in the car, we tied, so we'll have to have a rematch sometime.
After miniature golfing, we went up to Preston for his family party, and played games. I ended up leaving around 11, and then went to bed when I got home.
The weirdest part about it all was that it wasn't weird, if that makes any sense. It seemed very normal, and not awkward whatsoever. :)
We'll see what happens, but in the meantime...I love my life!!!

Two weeks in a nutshell

Last week=no test week...thank goodness, too bad that meant 2 quizzes, 2 papers and one presentation. Also, it was the institute choir/Latter Day Voices' spring show, so that took up ALL my Wed, Thurs, and Fri nights. Then, Thurs night after the show, went to go get ice cream with a few people. Long story short, I drove my friend Dave's car less than a block from the ice cream place, and got pulled over (Ironically I've only ever been pulled over twice: Once Freshman year in Logan while I was driving the Turley's van, and now, Junior year driving Dave's car. Moral? Don't drive someone else's car in Logan!!!) Anyways. The reason? My headlights weren't off. Nevermind that with the gazillions of lights it was bright as day, and I would've noticed in about a hundred yards, but he just happened to see me before then. Yeah, so instead of a nice warning, I got cited. Yep, cited...as in a TICKET! For not having my headlights on. Pretty much I think that cop...yeah, I'm not going to say what I think. So, I need to find time to go to court sometime this week.
Saturday, I saw WICKED!! Oh, I wish I had the time to divulge every small detail of what I loved, but I don't.
Sunday, I got to see my friend Ashlee's son Ethan for the first time, and I also got to see Laura and Daniel who just got off their missions.
This week=finals week. You would think I'd be used to it by now, it being my 6th finals week, but it is still stressing me out. I have 1 final finished, physics tomorrow, then history of jazz, and abnormal psych on thursday then I will be done! And I couldn't be happier.
I still need another job for the summer, so that is on next week's to do list.
I have to move next Monday...somehow I have to stuff all my things into my car for about 5 hours while I work, then move in...whew.
Tuesday I will be crashing from my crazy life.
Wednesday...I will be freaking out. If you can't remember, look to the countdown on your right. That's right. Elder Abrams gets home on MAY 6TH! So, let the freaking out begin.
Thursday, I will most likely be seeing my missionary for the first time in over 2 years...wish me luck! :)
And then, Summer begins...I have a feeling it's going to be a good one! :)

Thursday, March 19, 2009

So, it's official, I am staying in Logan for the summer! I am SOOO super excited, it's ridiculous. Turns out, not only did I get an aide job for the summer, I also got an aide job from now until the end of the semester from 8-11 MWF. So, I even get some extra...OK, it's probably not EXTRA money, but it's money none the less! The only stipulation is that it will remain a part time job over the summer. So, 8-Noon, MWF, and maybe a little Tues and Thurs. work. No big deal, I'll just continue my job search, and look for something that will go from 12:30 and later on MWF, and whenever Tues and Thurs. Hopefully I can find something!
The best part about it?
It's a physical therapy aide job at Sunshine Terrace!

So, not only do I get school credit, and money...but also experience! It's like a 3 in one killer deal, and it's ALL MINE! Too bad the other aide decided she wanted to come back...it kinda killed my chances of full time work during summer... But, it's OK for now, cause nothin' can bring me done off of this high today!!! :) Woo hoo!!!
Finally, the last upside to this wonderfulness that is a summer job: BOYS! Ok, just stay with me...I love all of my girl friends dearly who will all be in Salt Lake, but there's just something about being in a college town, during the summer when it's actually SUNNY, and Hot, and hanging out with boys all summer that is amazing...pretty much I'm hoping this will be the best summer of my life. You know what? I'm going to make it that way by jingo! For sure! Can you feel my joy yet? No worries, the happiness will reach you momentarily, and if by some odd chance you can't feel it, call me...I'll be happy to rub off on you!
